Job Description
Our client, a media agency, is looking for an SEM Manager to join the Boston team.
The Role
The SEM Manager’s advanced skills in search engine marketing, leadership, project management and communication make them a vital contributor to the success of the SEM team.
As a SEM Manager, you will help execute high-level account campaign strategies into optimizations which directly affect campaign performance and team success. You will regularly analyze and interpret data, discover and address opportunities, collaborate on campaign strategy with clients and the SEM team, formulate and test hypotheses as well as give critical insights on campaign activity and performance. At least 3 years of experience working in a similar role as a Search Account Specialist or Marketing Analyst on biddable media campaigns is required.
A high level of proficiency in working with all Google & Bing Ads products, Google Analytics 4, as well as Excel & Google Sheets as it relates to SEM is required. Experience managing a team is strongly preferred, as this role will have direct reports. This role reports to and works closely with our Global Head of Search.
Key Responsibilities
• Leads strategy creation, development, performance & communications on all search accounts.
• Owns Search bookings on the FM systems and reports and forecasts revenue to Global Head of Search and Managing Director.
• Monitor and track progress of client success upholding team accountability and promote
quality of service.
• Oversee Search KPIs and POD output benchmarks for all accounts.
• Owns and facilitates development of team career paths and all search team processes.
• Assists Account Directors and Managing Director with incorporation of search strategy, services and offerings on SOWs, SLAs, & Client Prospect Pitch Presentations.
• Facilitate cross-functional team integration to ensure the Search team is well versed in Asset Management and Learning and Development strategies.
• Leads new business and client growth opportunities as it relates to Search (Including hybrid strategies).
• Builds and executes client success strategy including recruitment, resource allocation, team planning, forecasting and service deliverables for Search accounts.
• Ensure collaboration exists between Search and Media teams across US accounts.
Qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience working in a similar SEM, Biddable Media or Marketing Analyst role.
• An interest and passion in analysing your campaigns and pushing for the best outcome.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Awareness of media trends and avid interest in business and finance.
• Experience managing a small team and leading by example.
• Demonstrable ability to make sensible, intelligent decisions in difficult and deadline driven situations.
• A passionate approach to tasks with a can-do attitude – committed to upholding professional standards while being flexible and self-motivated.
• Asset management and higher education knowledge as it relates to SEM.
• High level of proficiency working with all Google & Bing Ads products, Google Analytics 4,
Excel, and Google Sheets.
