Job Description
Job Title: Product Marketing Manager (Consumer Tech)
We’re looking for a hungry, user-obsessed Product Marketing Manager to turn our ambitious roadmap into market-leading, high-growth, and emotionally resonant marketing campaigns.
The Role
As the first Product Marketing Manager, you will sit at the intersection of Product, Growth Marketing, and Engineering. You won’t just be launching features; you’ll be crafting the narrative that turns technology into traction. You will own the "why" behind what we build and lead the go-to-market (GTM) strategy that drives acquisition, activation, and retention.
What You’ll Do
-
Go-to-Market Strategy: Own the end-to-end launch plan for new products and features, coordinating across marketing, product, and ops teams to drive adoption.
-
Positioning & Messaging: Distill complex technical features into clear, compelling, and consumer-friendly stories that resonate with our target users.
-
Voice of the Customer: Conduct deep user research (surveys, interviews, focus groups) to deeply understand user behaviors, pain points, and motivations.
-
Growth Experiments: Work with the Growth Team to optimize the user journey, reducing friction in onboarding and improving conversion rates.
-
Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitor moves and industry trends to refine our positioning and maintain our edge.
-
Lifecycle Marketing: Partner with Lifecycle Marketing to develop campaigns that boost retention, cross-sell/upsell, and increase Lifetime Value (LTV).
-
Support Enablement: Create support materials, FAQs, and product collateral to ensure our customer-facing teams are experts on our value proposition.
Who You Are
-
Action-Oriented: You have a "growth mindset" and thrive in high-velocity, ambiguous environments.
-
Data-Driven Strategist: You rely on data to make decisions, analyzing funnels and product analytics (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA) to identify growth opportunities.
-
Master Storyteller: You can turn technical specs into emotional, human-centered narratives.
-
Cross-Functional Leader: You can influence without authority, bringing engineering, design, and marketing teams together.
-
Consumer-Obsessed: You have a genuine curiosity about why people use products and are passionate about delivering best-in-class user experiences.
Experience
-
3–4 years of experience in product marketing or a related marketing role in a consumer tech startup or high-growth company.
-
Proven track record of managing product launches that increased adoption or revenue.
-
Experience with user segmentation, competitive analysis, and developing buyer personas.
-
Familiarity with marketing tech stacks (e.g., HubSpot, Braze) and product analytics tools.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
