Job Summary
The Media Supervisor - Facebook Ads (Hybrid) is responsible for developing and managing a team comprised of junior-level staff who manage client programs and provide social media insights. The Media Supervisor - Facebook Ads (Hybrid) fosters a cohesive work dynamic, creates open lines of communication among all team members and strives for process consistency throughout the team. This is a hands-on role where the Supervisor manages client accounts, interfaces with clients and coaches the team, but also is responsible for bringing innovation and process improvements forward to senior management.

The Media Supervisor - Facebook Ads (Hybrid) fosters a cohesive work dynamic, creates open lines of communication among all team members and strives for process consistency throughout the team. This is a hands-on role where the Supervisor manages client accounts, interfaces with clients and coaches the team, but also is responsible for bringing innovation and process improvements forward to senior management.
Responsibilities
- Drive traffic to our dealers’ websites through compelling paid social campaigns
- Advise dealers on optimal paid social budget and strategy to convert shoppers to car buyers
- Monitor KPIs of all paid social campaigns to ensure client objectives are met
- Ensure all ads follow compliance regulations required by OEMs
- Set the operational standards, and plan and manage work to achieve product quality and capacity requirements
- Manage team to ensure clear and professional interdepartmental and client communication
- Troubleshoot and intercede in client concerns including but not limited to performance, budgetary, and errors
- Train and coach team regarding new features, tracking issues and how to best support the CST and Sales
- Increase agency’s product and service value by employing campaign metric data to positively impact product performance and retention rates
- Provide needs and gap analysis to training partners to ensure junior and senior team members have the tools required to achieve department goals and career advancement
- Create and maintain a good working atmosphere and build team morale
- Identify ways to optimize work processes and eliminate non-value add activities. Keep Standard Operating Procedures updated by partnering with Ad Ops group
- Serve as internal subject matter experts in paid social media, sharing industry trends and new developments in technology
- Support senior management through writing and presenting information as requested (National Sales Meeting, Weekly Sales Meeting, Bulletins, EMT, etc.)
- Provide support to the Sales team with audits, strategies and budget recommendations for new client pursuits and current client reviews
- Provide coaching/mentoring to the Paid Social team to ensure that the required level of performance is met and continually maintained
- Ensure ads are compliant and maintain processes to ensure compliance guidelines are strictly followed
- Ensure that all team members achieve their individual development needs
- Lead teams to successful execution of departmental performance objectives
- Conduct regular 1:1s, and annual performance discussion with direct reports to provide a structured and documented formal performance feedback as documented. Ensure individuals are fully aware of their developmental needs and strengths.
- Recommend promotions, new hires and employee terminations as needed
- Prioritize new feature development working with Ad Ops and Product Dev teams
- Strategizes to improve departmental KPIs and problem solves to achieve desired results
- Develops macro/micro strategic recommendations
- Understanding competitive landscape across the market (Tier I, II, III); how customers generate revenue, client objectives
- Supports Manager with budgeting, man loading, optimal team design and recruiting
- Understanding Impact of staffing on department (budget, time to fill ratios, headcount)
- Research and communicate industry trends with the team
- Recognizes work of direct reports and gives company recognition to exemplary performers
- Provides supervisory exposure to direct reports so that team members understand expectations and successful approach is modeled
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in digital media, Communications, Business or other related major required
Required Skills
- 4+ years’ experience required at a media or digital agency
- Management or supervisory experience
- 2-3 years of experience with critical platforms used within product department (Facebook Ads, and Google Analytics)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint/Word/Excel)
- Some familiarity with Facebook product feeds, Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok ad platforms.
- Successful management of brand guidelines within social media platforms
- Anticipates resource constraints and plans accordingly (cross training staff to cover vacations, informing management/ sales about plan)
- Works well with supervisors of other departments and collaborates to remove roadblocks encountered by team members
Preferred Skills
- Ad agency experience/Automotive Industry experience
- Experience with local, multi-location businesses
