Director, Performance Marketing – Chicago
  Overview: Leads the performance marketing team and external agency partners in the development and execution of a performance marketing strategy that drives ecommerce sales for our family of brands including brands in early-stage high-growth mode as well as mature, established brands. The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to identify, prioritize and implement digital marketing strategies that drive revenue, customer acquisition and demand generation.
This position is based in our Chicago office, which is a hybrid work environment, working in the office 2-3 days per week. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, development, and ongoing optimization of a digital marketing strategy aimed at driving growth, efficiency and full funnel media optimization across all digital marketing touchpoints including SEO, SEM, affiliate, programmatic and other key channels.
  • Partner closely with internal senior leaders and external agencies to establish, optimize and report on campaign performance including KPIs such as CPA, ROI, and ROAS.
  • Lead the management of the paid media budget, forecasting and media spend tracking across all digital channels.
  • Lead a third-party consultant in the planning and execution of our holiday catalog circulation strategy that delivers continuous improvement and profitability.
  • Assume primary accountability for management of digital agencies in day-to-day execution against business goals, development of strategic POV’s and continuous improvement in effective deployment of resources.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor performance marketing team to excellence in execution, improved capabilities, and greater engagement across the organization.
  • Partner with the brand and creative teams to develop an approach to digital content that adheres to best practices by channel and desired KPI metrics.
  • Lead sessions with senior leadership stakeholders on a regular basis to share strategies, results and relevant insights.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute seasonal integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Partner cross-functionally to continually improve conversion rate, AOV and visitor repeat rate across multiple ecommerce sites.
  • Maintain and increase knowledge of industry standards and best practices to stay ahead of trends and inform business decisions specific to digital marketing, ensuring the business’ online presences are best-in-class
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • 7+ years digital marketing experience, preferably in an ecommerce direct to consumer business.
  • Experience in retail industry dealing with seasonality preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, digital marketing, business or related field.
  • Strong understanding and significant hands-on experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads, Search Console & Google Analytics.
  • Experience with Google Shopping/Performance Max and Merchant Center preferable.
  • Ability to plan and manage complex budgets.
  • Experience managing external agency partners and internal teams.
  • An analytical mindset with a proven track record of turning data into actionable insights and high-growth performance marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to juggle multiple projects and manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build influence with senior leaders.
