Direct Response Copywriter
Job Description
We’re partnering with an established, highly profitable healthcare lead-generation company to hire a Direct Response Copywriter who knows how to turn high-intent traffic into action.
This is not a brand storytelling or general content role. We’re looking for a performance-minded writer who understands that great copy should convert—and who gets excited about testing messaging, learning from the data, and continuously finding ways to improve results.
You’ll be writing for a highly competitive, high-value acquisition environment where every conversion matters. The ideal person understands search intent, can quickly get inside the mindset of a consumer, and knows how to communicate sensitive or complex topics in a way that feels clear, credible, and compelling.
What You’ll Do
- Write conversion-focused copy for paid search campaigns and landing pages
- Develop scripts and messaging for YouTube and other performance channels
- Turn search intent and audience insights into compelling messaging
- Partner closely with performance marketing to develop and test new angles, offers, headlines, CTAs, and page concepts
- Use performance data to understand what resonates and continuously improve copy
- Help evolve messaging across the full acquisition journey
- Navigate sensitive subject matter thoughtfully while still writing for action
- Bring new ideas to the table and help shape the company’s direct-response strategy
What They're Looking For
- Strong direct-response or conversion copywriting experience
- Experience writing for paid acquisition and landing pages, particularly Google/search-driven traffic
- A track record of creating copy designed to generate leads, customers, appointments, or other measurable actions
- Strong understanding of conversion psychology, audience intent, and testing
- Comfortable using data and performance results to inform creative decisions
- Able to balance persuasive writing with credibility and empathy
- Experience in competitive or regulated industries such as healthcare, legal, insurance, financial services, or similar lead-generation environments is a strong plus
- Entrepreneurial, curious, and comfortable operating with significant ownership
Why This Opportunity?
You’ll join a lean, established business where your work has a direct connection to performance. Rather than being one writer within a large creative organization, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how the company communicates with its audience, test new ideas quickly, and see the measurable impact of your work.
