Job Description
CFO
This is an excellent opportunity to establish and streamline the financial processes necessary for us to double in size over the next two years.
Our client is an award-winning architecture, engineering, and product company looking for a VP of Finance for all the company's financial needs. Our businesses include consulting and retail 3D-printed wall panels. We’ve made the Inc 5000 6 times in the last 8 years and plan to continue our growth and double in the next two years. This is an excellent opportunity to establish and streamline the financial processes necessary for us to continue this record-setting growth. This position will be key in ensuring growth and the company's continued success.
The ideal candidate will have strong business finance and operations knowledge and want to grow into a C-level position that is ultimately responsible for the financial planning, reporting, and risk management of a rapidly growing company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage Accounting Manager, Project Accountant, Director of Operations, and Office Manager/HR;
• Ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place to protect the firm's assets and to generate an appropriate financial return on projects;
• Ensure that appropriate financial management software and resources are utilized to achieve or exceed the project's stated financial goals:
• Manage monthly invoicing and project accounting process;
• Manage Project accountant to review and analyze the contract and financial condition of each project on a monthly basis and advise project managers;
• Monitor the progress of projects, investigating variances, approving expenses, and ensuring project billings are issued to clients and payments are collected;
• Manage communication with clients regarding the status of outstanding invoices, invoice approvals, and ultimate collection;
• Work with partner.; and project managers assisting in fee and expense analysis, and tracking project performance and profitability;
• Report on financials weekly and on financial planning (accrual and cash) monthly, including advising partners of any significant issues;
• Serve as banking liaison managing all company loans, LOC, investments, mortgages and construction loans;
• Serve as tax liaison, communicating with outside accountants for annual financial statement and tax returns;
• Manage Employee Benefit Plans (Serve as 401k liaison, etc.);
• Execute various ad-hoc analyses and special projects as assigned;
REQUIREMENTS
• 10-15 years of experience;
• On fast-track career growth;
• Hands-on experience with financial software and high software acumen;
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field;
• 8-15 years of experience in accounting & finance functions;
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Strong MS Excel knowledge;
• Excellent communication and strong analytical skills;
