About the Job
Our client is a mid-sized, full-service B2B only marketing communications agency, located in our beautiful offices in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Our client's roster includes 42 companies with revenues of over $1B annually and a variety of other small and medium sized companies. They are in growth mode and are adding to our team of outstanding, high-performing, ultra-driven, highly collaborative team members to keep up with their clients and their demands on us.

Our Client believes great collaboration in the advertising and marketing agency space happens in person; therefore, this position is on-site only with two work from home days a month.

As the Vice President, Digital Marketing & Media, you will manage the agency’s approach, methodology, processes and outcomes for the development and execution of digital programs. Overseeing team leaders paid media, paid search, UX/UI, development, technology integration, you will be the ultimate subject matter expert in all things digital.  You will work with account leadership and new business to formulate and pitch end-to-end digital strategies and ensure programs are executed by the digital department to meet client expectations. You will be a master of strategy and process. Embracing emerging trends and technologies and leading the charge in developing internal capabilities that expand the agency’s ability to deliver results for our clients.

Candidates for this position must have a track record of digital innovation and delivery across multiple channels and platforms. You should be comfortable with big ideas, ambiguity, and change, able to focus on the smallest detail as well as own strategic vision.


This role will:
  • Develop full-funnel digital marketing solutions and media strategies that drive marketing attributed pipeline and achieve business outcomes across multiple channels.
  • Create, present and manage diverse digital strategies (demand generation, inbound, ABM, etc.) that align to specific business objectives. 
  • Execute comprehensive media programs that utilize a variety of channels including programmatic, social, PPC/SEM, content syndication, OTT, etc.
  • Manage our marketing operations practice (internal and for clients) including CRM, marketing automation systems (Hubspot, Pardot, Marketo, Eloqua, etc.) and strategy.
  • Develop and manage multi touch attribution models (MTA), including leading the integration of processes and systems necessary to measure cross-channel impact.
  • Developing proposal and presenting strategic thinking to executive business leaders.
  • Managing workflow for multiple projects with various timelines, resources (internal and external) and varied stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and expertise to drive/inform long term strategy and vision for digital marketing (display, search, social, native, video, email, etc.) and interactive initiatives.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (designers, developers, account services, strategy) to effectively manage and execute the development of digital marketing projects from assets and web properties to fully integrated campaigns.
  • Inform the scope, resourcing, and approach of a digital marketing projects and full-funnel media/advertising strategies.
  • Oversee the digital media practice, resources and vendors to ensure excellence in execution and maximum ROAS.
  • Lead the development and standardization of processes, best practices, SLAs and methodologies for the agencies existing and future digital practices.
  • Guide the team on the approach to sharing strategy and results across the organization
  • Develop a long-term approach to the digital team’s capabilities and competency in supporting, implementing, optimizing and working within marketing technology programs (CRM, automation platforms, etc.). Where applicable, on-board and manage vendors necessary to support projects.

Additional duties and responsibilities:
 
  • Partner and consult with internal agency teams and clients provide comprehensive digital marketing expertise, thought leadership, and actionable recommendations.
  • Play hands-on role managing ongoing project and/or campaign timelines, milestones, plans, budgets, dependencies, deliverables, etc. Participate in client-facing meetings and activities requiring a very professional and proactive demeanor. Guide and manage (or play a support role to other digital managers) certain digital projects and/or digital marketing campaigns.
  • Manage outside digital resources and marketing/technical vendors associated with website production, digital marketing activities, marketing automation, and so forth. Maintain and manage relationships with existing and new digital vendors, supporting vendor identification, and vetting process to maintain Our Client's digital vendor pool. 
  • Work with client and agency sales operations and finance teams to define and develop forecasts, KPIs, goals and reporting
  • Partner with new business to develop proposals and strategies. Pitch programs to executive leaders and effectively manage the transition of accounts from prospect to client, ensuring agency resources are set up for success. 


Experience and Skill Sets
 
  • 8-10 year’s experience driving digital direct-response marketing programs in a fast-paced environment
  • 8-10 years of progressive levels of responsibility in media planning, buying, leadership, and management either with an agency or through an in-house marketing team
  • Proven experience in delivering clear, strategic presentations to C-level marketing executives
  • Understanding of DSPs, DMPs, attribution, and industry workflow systems
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing operations including CRM, Marketing Automation, ABM systems and strategy
  • Experience in web strategy including UX/UI, information architecture, SEO, CRO, web development, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience managing media, development and cross-functional digital marketing teams including hiring, leading and mentoring in a fast-paced marketing organization
  • Experience driving targeted messages in competitive B2B markets through account-based marketing (ABM) strategies and platforms.
  • A client-focused leader with proven ability to build collaborative teams, develop employees, and tie performance to business objectives.
  • Proven record of consistently delivering results on complex projects through strong organizational skills and the ability to influence and work cross-functionally.
  • Expert analytical and quantitative skills. Must have the ability to analyze and extrapolate meaning from data, translating it into insights and actionable plans.
  • Ability to build estimates and project budgets with rationale and validated assumptions to detail the strategy, tactical plans, projected impact, and ROI
  • Client facing experience. Able identify risks and adequately navigate through client issues and objections.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and understanding of how to add incremental value without compromising communication needs

Compensation and Benefits

Our Client strives to provide some of the best agency compensation and benefit packages in the great southwest. The job is in Gilbert, AZ (just off the Loop 202 expressway) and less than one mile from over 50 restaurants. Our business is all about collaboration, so we do not offer telecommuting currently, but we do offer flex hours depending on the position and clients. Employees can start at any time between 7 AM and 9 AM and finish between 4 PM and 6 PM based on client demands and department structure. Our Client pays for 95% of employee’s life, health and long-term disability insurance. Our Client offers vision, dental and a variety of other benefits that an employee can purchase. The kitchen area is full of free snacks and beverages. Tuition reimbursement is available. The salary range for this position will vary depending on experience and skills outlined above.
